Water Out Southeast Michigan and
Water Out Fort Wayne, Indiana team up in Detroit
Steve Harris of Water Out Southeast Michigan
sent in a story this week, from a job he worked on with Chris Laney and Water
Out Fort Wayne, Indiana. “We teamed up to dry out a three-story flood
at East Catholic High School in Detroit, Michigan. Vandals damaged six bathrooms
causing thousands of gallons of water to flood three floors in this 100+ year-old
school. The structure was dried to pre-loss conditions in four days using
three Water Out® trailers and 100 air movers. Other than the damage caused
by the vandals, the structure required only a few drop-ceiling tiles and paint
on a few walls to return it to its original condition. Thanks to Chris Laney
and his crew from Water Out Fort Wayne for all their help.
The day after this job was finished we moved two trailers to a school in Pontiac,
Michigan that had nine feet of water in the basement and mechanical tunnels
under the school. We took care of it with three days of pumping and four days
of drying.”
Thanks, Steve and Chris, it’s always good to hear about Water Out®
members working together to tackle larger losses.

Praise for Water Out Fort Wayne
Following on the heels of last week’s stellar
praise of Robert Pettyjohn and Water Out Raleigh by a satisfied customer,
we received another letter this week from a customer in Fort Wayne, Indiana
addressing Chris Laney and Water Out Fort Wayne. “I’d just like
to take a moment and thank you, your crew, and your wife for all you and your
company have done to help me and my family during the water damage / flood
crisis we recently experienced. Your staff was highly professional, experienced,
clean, neat and caring about the problems we were going through. At every
point you kept me informed of everything I had to know; assuring the integrity
of my structure was maintained and our property was kept safe. Not to mention
you had also proven to me through your business agreement that you are undoubtedly
a “man of your word”. During a trying time this is so very important
to me… well, words just can’t describe. Anyway, though we did
have some personal property loss due to the water and flooding, your company
got us up, dry, carpets cleaned and our basement accessible to begin calculating
our loss and working toward getting our lives back to normal. Be assured I
will highly recommend you in the future to all my friends and acquaintances.
My experience with Water Out Fort Wayne has been outstanding.”
Excellent job, Chris and Angie, and your crew at Water Out Fort Wayne; we
are very proud of the work you are doing in Indiana.

Chris Laney and Water Out of Fort Wayne have been
very busy this winter as well, with recent losses at both commercial properties
and residences in Indiana.
One of the commercial projects was
at a flooring store. “The 8000 sq ft. showroom had 2” of standing
water in it on Monday morning when the owner came in. The water had been sitting
for a day or so. He elected to have another company rip his floors out. When
they were done late Monday we started drying. We were dry in a total of 2
1/2 days and he was extremely happy.
The next picture is from a basement we dried in two days. The basement had
4” of standing water in it for a period of approximately 5 days. We
had great success and the best result was that it was dry and smelled great.
The realtor selling the home was very happy.”
Excellent work, Chris, and everyone at Water Out of Fort Wayne.
